Housing
2024
In detached house designs, spatial arrangements that strengthen the connection with the place and support the use of open spaces are preferred. The housing project designed in Bodrum's Gündoğan neighborhood is an example of a project designed with a year-round living space, providing different experiences in both summer and winter. Considering the region's climate, the organization of the units supports living areas and rooms with semi-open and open spaces. Upper and lower terraces, an open kitchen (garden), and room terraces are spread across different levels, strengthening the relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces. The spatial definitions created by the differentiation of landscape areas aim to increase experiences and quality of life.
Thanks to the enclosed space arrangement where living areas and rooms are placed at different levels, common and private areas are defined separately. By separating these areas with different functions, a plan layout appropriate to the function is created. Variety is provided with 3+1, 4+1, and 5+1 housing solutions among the units placed according to the slope. With the facades that are preferably left transparent, the outdoor landscape is brought into the interior spaces, maximizing the use of daylight and ensuring air circulation.
