In project areas that stand out with their local architectural features, the concept of regional harmony is taken into account, and the unique character of the environment becomes a strong reference shaping the design. In Bodrum, Muğla, a place with a unique identity, the local vegetation, material usage, and settlement patterns shape the designs made in the region. The Bodrum Municipality Building we designed has the characteristic of being a design that is harmonious with its environment within the traditional architectural fabric, thanks to its settlement and material decisions. The need for an additional municipal service building in the region guided the creation of sub-units.

A municipal square has been created at the end of the stairs leading users to the main entrance on the front facade of the building, and spaces suitable for various uses have been designed. At the same time, the courtyard layout in the building supports the use of open space. Continuous corridors have been designed along the facades facing the courtyard, and visitor and staff circulation in the building is resolved in this area. It was decided to create a zone according to different functions in the building, and the design was developed along this axis.
