MF Baklacı

Housing

2024

Located in Istanbul’s Beykoz district, the site maintains a connection to the city while simultaneously offering a sense of isolation—a duality shaped by its proximity to the city’s northern green landscape. Maff Baklacı is a residential complex in Beykoz comprising six identical detached housing blocks. While the portions of the blocks above ground share the same design, their basement levels vary in size and configuration, adapted to their specific placement on the terrain. The project prioritizes a lifestyle centered on detached, independent living. Each residence is provided with a private indoor garage for two vehicles, and every unit includes both an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool. The sloping topography of the site served as a key factor in the design; the blocks are arranged in a stepped formation, following the natural incline of the land.
